If you thought gravy was only for making a dry turkey more edible, you're wrong. At one restaurant in South Carolina, it's added to bourbon for a one of a kind mixed shot that you'll never forget—for better or worse...we're not quite sure.

To make this cocktail, the folks at Edmund's Oast rim a shot glass with brown sugar and rosemary. From there, the recipe couldn't be any easier: Just mix equal parts hot gravy and bourbon, then serve.

The eatery's co-owner, Scott Shor, told Eater that this quirky drink was created as an aperitif to prepare you, and your stomach, for the onslaught of turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, green-bean casserole, squash, dinner rolls, and dessert that comes with the enormous buffet on Thanksgiving Day. And we have to admit that this salty-sweet spiked combo would probably taste pretty amazing—as long as you can get down with the idea of shooting thick turkey gravy.
