The secret to achieving pinecone perfection is Chex chocolate squares, but blogger Sandra Denneler of Handmade Charlotte used a similar Fiber One brand cereal. Either way, this is the most festive way to eat breakfast we've ever seen. We are huge fans of Chex Mix, and the stuff comes in so many different flavors—we're thinking Apple Cinnamon-flavored pinecones are as fall as it gets.

A mixture of peanut butter, Nutella, powdered sugar, and butter is the key to forming a sticky, dough-y mixture, which is then molded around a pretzel stick into a cone shape. From there, all you have to do is stick the cereal squares into the peanut butter mix, beginning at the bottom. Use broken Chex pieces or cut them in half as you get closer to the top, so your pinecones will look as realistic as possible. A dusting of powdered sugar will make these chocolate trees look like a miniature winter wonderland, perfect for your holiday table centerpiece

We've proven before that cereal makes the best desserts, so we'll be eating these around the clock until the holidays are over ... or at least until our leftovers run out.
